Mrs. Carolyn Green
My association with Seminole Public Schools began with first grade and Mrs. Robinson was my teacher. I graduated from SHS as well as Seminole State College. I went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Certificate for Early Childhood from East Central University. I began teaching with Seminole Public Schools in January of 1992. I was employed to help create a curriculum and program for the newly formed Pre-Kindergarten program. In 1996, I began teaching first grade at Wilson Elementary in Seminole. Wilson Elementary and I are the same age, and I was teaching in the same room that I was in during first grade. I left Seminole Schools in May of 2019. At the time of my departure, I had either been a student, or a principal under all of the Wilson Principals and Superintendents. In August 2019, I became the first-grade teacher at The Academy of Seminole. I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this great opportunity and a new adventure to be a part of the family at TAOS.
I have lived in Seminole for most of my life. I taught Sunday School for 27 years, worked at a local funeral home, and this is my 28th year of teaching. I am married to John Green (also an SHS graduate). I have two children, Nicholas and Amy who are both graduates of Seminole High School and The University of Oklahoma.
In my “free time”, I like to work in the yard, read books, try new recipes, visit with my friends, and travel.
